Home delivery of ration in Srinagar to be started from March 28: DC Shahid Chowdhary

 

Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNS): In wake of complete lockdown, District administration Srinagar on Wednesday announced that home delivery of ration will start from March 28 under strict safety protocol.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary tweeted, "Home-delivery of PDS ration to 1.60 Lakh families in #Srinagar will start from 28th March under strict safety-protocol. Deptts of Food, Agri, Police along with Magistrates, SRTC, SMC and volunteers included. Pl #StayAtHome and #BreakTheChain. Spread the word".

Pertinently on Tuesday evening Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to nation in wake of COVID-19 outbreak and its consequences. He directed countrymen to observe complete lockdown for 21 days and asked people to stay at their home and follow guidelines in letter and spirit. (KNS)
