The Meteorological Department in Srinagar issues a comprehensive weather update for Jammu & Kashmir, spanning from January 30th to February 10th. In the Kashmir Division, the forecast indicates the likelihood of light to moderate rain/snow during this period, with heavy snowfall expected in specific districts on January 31st.
In the Jammu Division, intermittent light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder/lightning in plains and light to moderate snowfall in higher reaches is anticipated between January 30-31 and February 3-4.
The department emphasizes the potential temporary closure of roads in higher reaches and important passes, urging travelers to plan accordingly.
