Uri Dec 20 (KNS): Uri Police on Tuesday kick started cleanliness drive under Muhim-e-Inquilab initiative.
The drive was flagged of SDM Uri, Jatin Kishore and was undertaken under the leadership of SDPO Uri, Junaid Wali.
The initiative was started with students of local education institutes who are managers and contributors of social change.
“The change started with the gesture of hand and as such the Muhim has 5 proponents for change which includes Educational Awareness and contribution; Mental health, drug de-addiction awareness and campaign; Environmental awareness and striving for clean and green environment; Cultural awareness and promotion; and Other social services like Plantation etc”, an officials told.
He said the aim of the Muhim is to ensure community participation for environmental protection and cleanliness of surroundings, social awareness, movement against drug abuse, cultural and educational awareness etc.
It is pertinent to mention here that the initiative is a brain child of SDPO Uri, Junaid Wali who started this combined campaign in October this year.(KNS)
