Terms encounter as major success for Srinagar police

Srinagar, Apr 10 (KNS): Inspector general of police Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar said that two Pakistani militants of LeT, who were involved in the recent attack on CRPF personnel in Srinagar, were killed in Srinagar encounter today.

 
Talking to media persons on the site of encounter, IGP said that both militants were neutralised in the encounter and arms and ammunition were also recovered from the site of encounter. 
 
He said that the property would be also seized where militants were hiding today as has been ordered earlier by the police.
 
IGP termed the encounter as big success for Srinagar police and said that today’s encounter in was one of the best example of how an investigation of terror crime, in which they lost one CRPF personnel on April 04, led to anti-terror encounter.
 
Earlier, encounter broke out in Beshambar Nagar area of Srinagar between police and CRPF.
 
In the ensuing encounter two militants were killed in the encounter, while three security personnel including two cops and one CRPF personnel were also injured. (KNS)
