Srinagar March 26 (KNS): Inspector General of Police,kashmir zone,Vijay Kumar on Friday stated that the two Over Ground workers who were involved in attack in Lawaypora Srinagar have been arrested and the vehicle used to carry this attacke has also been seized.

Talking to media on wreath laying ceremony of two CRPF Personnel, Kashmir Police Chief said that the duo carried attack on directions of Let millitant, Nadeem Abrar Bhat Alias Abu Brar, who hails from Budgam District and is also close relative of one of two OGWs.

Kumar further said that Bandipora and Srinagar Police acted tirelessly soon after the attack was carried and identified trio involved in the attack.

"These two OGWs who were identified as Muzaffer Ahmed Mir and Javaid Ahmed Sheikh provided support to Let Millitant Nadeem.The trio first had recce of the area to choose a target",Police chief added.

The Police chief said that police arrested Javaid Sheikh first and the Maruti car bearing vehicle no. HR10 Q-6583 from him along with some empty cartridges and added that after questioning and interrogation of Javaid,2nd OGW was also arrested.

"We conducted raids on two places to nab the Let millitant involved but he along with two foreign millitants had fled after came to know about arrest of Javaid and Muzaffer",he added.

IGP also said that their is presence of militant movement in Srinagar outskirts and highways and before commencement of Amarnath Yatra,the Let militant involved in yesterday's attack and other two foreign millitants will be arrested or Neutralised soon.
"Police is tirelessly working on to nab the millitants involved,There will be no cast of shadow on Yatra.The attackers will be arrested or killed soon in encounter",he added.(KNS)
