Those using tactics to expand their power in J&K will have to be answerable: Altaf Bukhari

Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party president, Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday said that those using tactics to expand their power in Jammu and Kashmir will have to be answerable.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a protest march in Srinagar, Bukhari said that attempts to carry out any demographic change in Jammu and Kashmir are unacceptable and his party will not allow backdoor settlement of non-locals here.

Bukhari while reacting to magisterial probe in Hyderpora encounter said that it was cold a blooded murder and the inquiry is mere eyewash.

On being asked about investment by non-local industrialists in Jammu and Kashmir, Bukhari said that they are not against any investment but they will not allow non-locals to settle here.

Bukhari further said the centre will have to hold elections here and those who are using tactics to expand their power will have to answer before the people.

On being asked about continuing protest, Bukhari said that the party will meet and will decide about it. (KNS)
