Srinagar, January 16 (KNS): Today, The Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department Smt.Mandeep Kour (IAS),Conducted an introductory cum review meeting at SMC Headquarters Karanagar to assess the progress and initiatives of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Srinagar Smart City Ltd. The meeting was aimed to evaluate the ongoing projects and developments in the city.
During the session,the Commissioner Secretary was presented with a comprehensive and insightful PowerPoint presentation by the Commissioner SMC/CEO,SSCL, Dr. Owais Ahmed, IAS highlighting the achievements including future plans/Goals of the Corporation and the Srinagar Smart City . The presentation covered various aspects including Infrastructure Development, Urban Planning, Waste Management, and other critical areas of municipal governance.
The Commissioner Secretary expressed her satisfaction with the efforts and progress made by the SMC and SSCL. She also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and innovation in order to further enhance the city's infrastructure and service delivery mechanism.
The meeting concluded with a positive outlook towards the future development of Srinagar and reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders to work towards making Srinagar a model city in line with the Smart City Vision and passed directives for Closure of all open garbage sheds ,Source Segregation of waste-Collection and its disposal,Installation of street lights/Maintenance within the Municipal Limits.(KNS)
