Srinagar, April 7:(KNS) CPI (M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed grief and sorrow over the untimely demise of veteran trade union leader Ab Majeed Khan who breathed his last yesterday.
Late Ab Majeed Khan alngwith other employee leaders organized the 1967 employees general strike which paralyzed the administration. Response to this strike was massive. The then govt resorted to crackdown on striking employee and arrested hundreds of leaders including Ab Majeed Khan.He was dismissed along with other leaders but never compromised in his life to sabotage the cause of working class.
Tarigami expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. (KNS)
