Srinagar, Sep 9 (KNS): A series of cultural programmes featuring local artists are being organised at multiple iconic venues across Srinagar as part of the ongoing International Film Festival Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJ&K), officials said.

The programmes are being organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL).

Nearly 400 local artists are participating in the programmes during the festival, aimed at entertaining festival delegates, guests and local audiences while showcasing the rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions of Jammu and Kashmir.

The programmes are being held at prominent locations, including the Jhelum Riverfront at Rajbagh, Old Zero Bridge, Sher-i-Kashmir Park, Nishat Garden and the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The performances feature a diverse range of traditional and cultural art forms, providing festival delegates, visitors and local audiences an opportunity to experience the region's folk traditions and performing arts.

On the closing day of the festival on September 10, the cultural programmes will be held at the designated venues between 5 pm and 7 pm.

The initiative complements the cinematic experience of IFFJ&K by bringing together films, music, folk traditions and performing arts at some of Srinagar's prominent public and cultural spaces.(KNS)
