Srinagar, Dec 27(KNS): Security Forces in Srinagar detected and defused a suspicious object near Parimpora on the National Highway in Central Kashmir.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS),that the object, fitted with a cylinder, triggered the deployment of a Bomb Disposal Squad. To ensure public safety, a controlled explosion was carried out, he said.

He also said that the nature of the suspicious object is under investigation, and traffic on the National Highway, earlier suspended for precautionary measures, has now resumed (KNS).
