Strict Restrictions Imposed to Contain Covid Spread in Karnah, Curbs to Continue

Karnah, May 12 (KNS) Ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr festival, the administration in Karnah imposed strict restriction to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the restrictions ordered by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara were strictly imposed in Karnah by the administration.

Those dealing with essential services and government employees were allowed to commute to and from after the production of valid identity cards. 
 Earlier administration ordered certain restrictions on the movement of incoming traffic in the border town Karnah as per this order, daily incoming traffic from Chowkibal towards Tangdar on CTC road shall ply from 9 AM to 6 PM only and no incoming vehicular traffic shall be allowed beyond the cut off timings/Nighttime.

However, medical and emergency staff vehicle shall be exempted from these restrictions. 
Meanwhile, Karnah has recorded 3 COVID-related deaths this year and on date  222 active positive cases.(KNS)
