Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNS): On World Tourism Day, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday invited travellers from across India and the world to experience the Union Territory's natural beauty, cultural richness and renowned hospitality.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) described Jammu and Kashmir as the "crown of India", highlighting its breathtaking landscapes and warm hospitality, and urged people to experience its enduring charm.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in his message as per KNS called the region an "immortal paradise" offering a wide range of experiences — from pristine mountains, serene lakes and lush valleys to adventure sports, leisure retreats, pilgrimage circuits, wedding destinations and unexplored trekking routes.

CM Omar also underlined J&K's potential as a destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) activities and film shoots.
The Chief Minister said his government remains committed to strengthening tourism infrastructure and promoting sustainable and eco-friendly tourism, with a focus on keeping local youth and the region's rich cultural traditions at the heart of the hospitality sector. (KNS).
