Srinagar, Sep 28 (KNS): Archana Ramasundaram, IPS, Director General SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal),on Thursday along with Shri Deepak Kumar, IPS, Inspector General (OPS), and Dr. T. N. Mishra, Inspector General (Medical) visited 47th Bn SSB Srinagar and its Coys locations on Sep 28.
Rajinder Bhumbla, DIG, SHQ (Spl.Ops) SSB Srinagar briefed the DG about the prevailing situation in the region and accompanied her to various Coys and Bn Hqr of SSB in Srinagar. Apart from 06 regular Battalions, 28 additional Coys from Frontier Ranikhet, Lucknow & Patna have also been inducted for Law & Order and Internal Security duties across various parts of Jammu & Kashmir. In Kashmir region 09 additional Coys of SSB have been inducted besides 03 Bns one each at Tatoo Ground, Soura & Pattan Baramulla whereas 19 additional Coys of SSB besides 03
SSB, Battalions one each at Dharmkund in District Ramban, Batote in District Doda, & Roop Nagar in District Jammu are deployed for L&O /IS/CI(OPS) duties.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelDG, SSB, interacted with the Jawans at different company locations at Bilal Colony, UNDP, and Ahmed Nagar Soura in District Srinagar and took stock of existing security scenario and operational preparedness of the troops in given situation besides boosting the morale of the troops. At UNDP coys location DG also interacted with the personnel of Adhoc Coys and briefed them to follow SOP. The visit of DG, and other senior officer from Force Headquarter had a very positive impact on the troops.
She cautioned the troops to be vigilant and careful while carrying out assigned duties in their respective area of deployment and not to develop complacency at any level. (KNS)
