Srinagar, July 05 (KNS): Government Tuesday said that the salary of SSA teachers will be released on the first working day after Eid-ul- Fitr holidays are over, as the Center has ordered release of funds today.
Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar told KNS that the GoI ordered the release of 520 crore for salary of SSA teachers. The state government has added its share of 30 crore to the total funds as per 90:10 ration.
“But I am sorry that the salary could not be released before Eid.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelI assure the teachers that their salary will be released on the first working day after Eid,” Akhtar said.
“I spoke to Secretary GoI Mr. Kuntia and requested him to release the funds for the salary of the teachers,” the minister told KNS.
Salary of SSA teachers is unpaid from the last several months.
The minister said that the release of salary from GoI got delayed due to delayed Budget in the state. (KNS)
