Questions Hurriyat for meeting Sinha & Co

Srinagar, Dec 13 (KNS): Democratic Liberation Party (DLP) Chairman Hashim Qureshi Tuesday questioned the resistance leadership for shutting the doors to the Indian parliamentary delegation led by Home Minister Rajnath Singh but meeting the Yashwant Sinha led delegation.
Qureshi said they have failed to understand that it took 121 days for Sinha led delegation to visit Kashmir since the visit of the Parliamentary delegation to hold talks with the wide section of leaders.
In a statement issued to KNS, Qureshi said the Yashwant Sinha led delegation has full “blessings” of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani. “The parliamentary delegation comprised those people who had always raised their voice for Kashmiris, but still the Hurriyat refused to meet them,” he said.
The DLP chief said Hurriyat preferred to meet Sinha led delegation which has not even the “government of India backing” or any “political mandate”.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said the interlocutors’ team of M M Ansari, Radha Kumar and Dilip Padgoankar that was constituted after the 2010 uprising spent two years in Kashmir and later compiled a report. “Padgoankar has even died now, but the report still awaits implementation. The report was not even taken seriously.”
Qureshi said what is Sinha led team trying to get from Kashmiris, which the interlocutors couldn’t get in 2010.
He said Sinha led team seems another exercise to buy the time and has full blessings of Geelani.
Reiterating that tri-partite dialogue is the way forward to solve the Kashmir issue, he said, they aren’t against dialogue but it should be held with all the three stakeholders for the permanent solution of Kashmir issue. (KNS)
