Shah to lay foundation stone of developmental projects worth Rs 2,000 cr

Srinagar, Oct 03(KNS): Security has been heightened across Jammu and Kashmir in view of three-day visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah beginning Monday evening, officials said. 


An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that union home minster is scheduled to address two rallies - one in Rajouri district of the Jammu region on Tuesday and another in Baramulla in north Kashmir on Wednesday respectively where strict security arrangements have already been made. 

Meanwhile, a senior J&K based BJP leader said that Shah will launch multiple developmental projects worth around Rs 2,000 crore in the Union Territory. 

"He will also review the security situation, attend public meetings and lay foundations of various projects during his two-day visit," he said, adding that road projects worth Rs 400 crore will be inaugurated by him on Monday.

The BJP leader futher said that the Home Minister will also lay the foundation stone of road projects worth over Rs 1,100 crore. Besides he will launch development projects and also lay foundation stones for various projects at Convention Centre in Jammu.(KNS)
