Condemns party chairman’s detention

Srinagar, Nov 1 (KNS): Condemning the detention of Party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat during a nocturnal raid, Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement on Sunday announced its full support to ‘Srinagar Million March’ program given Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Geelani.
In a statement to KNS, Party Spokesman urged common masses to make the ‘Srinagar Million March’ a big success for conveying the world community and Indian government that Kashmiris will not accept less than freedom and want end to illegal occupation.
Spokesman condemned the detention of party chairman in nocturnal raid and said the puppet government has itself buried the slogan of battle of ideas even before a week. He said that a large contingent of police raided the residence of Zaffer Akbar Bhat and shifted him to undisclosed location. Zaffer Akbar Bhat was under house detention from last fifteen days during which he was not allowed to offer Friday prayers and his political activities were curbed.
He also condemned the detention of veteran leaders including of Liberation Front Chairman Mohd Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah and others.
He said that party has held numerous meeting in almost all the districts of Kashmir and has mobilized its resources for making the ‘Srinagar Million March’ a success. He said that party will ensure the maximum participation of people in the march on November 7 despite the odds and restrictions.
Spokesman said that puppet government led by Mufti Mohd Syed is instrumental in implementing the RSS agenda in the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that RSS and other Hindutva organizations are hell bent upon to change the demography of the state, however cautious Kashmiris will not allow them to implement the anti-Kashmir and anti-freedom agenda. He slammed puppet government and mainstream politicians for giving an impression that Kashmiris where dying for the economic package and said that Kashmiris are offering sacrifices for complete freedom not for the economic packages.
“It is India which is surviving on our natural resources and is looting our resources illegally. Despite facing Indian army oppression we are in position to donate for the Indians living under extreme poverty,” he said, adding economic packages weren’t solution to the real problem.
He said that when arrests, detentions, killings, tortures, rapes, abductions, disappearances, haven’t yielded results for India, how India they expect the economic packages will serve their cause. Spokesman reiterated his appeal to people of Jammu and Kashmir to make “Srinagar Million March” a “success to inform the whole world that Kashmiris will not accept anything less than freedom.
Meanwhile, in order to educate the common masses about the Srinagar Million March on Nov 7 called for countering Narendra Modi’s rally, Salvation Movement organized a rally in Baramulla and asked people to participate in the ‘million March’. Party also welcomed the release two Srinagar youth-Sheikh Farhat and Sheikh Imran Farhat after 12 years and hailed their contributions. (KNS)
