Sad Demise of Veteran Trade Unionist Sampath Prakash Mourned by Peoples Democratic Party

 Srinagar, July 2(KNS) The Kashmir community is deeply saddened by the sudden passing away of renowned trade unionist and advocate of civil liberties, Sampath Prakash.


His demise has left a void in the hearts of countless individuals who have been touched by his relentless efforts to champion the rights and welfare of workers in particular and people in general.Today, we gather to honor and pay our last respects to a true icon in the field.

Sampath Prakash, known for his unwavering commitment to the trade union movement, leaves behind a remarkable legacy. Throughout his illustrious career, he tirelessly fought for the rights of workers, ensuring better working conditions, fair wages, and improved labor laws. His dedication and vision made him a beacon of hope for those seeking justice and equality.
A prominent figure in Kashmir, Sampath Prakash's impact extended beyond the confines of the trade union movement. His unwavering support for civil liberties and social justice resonated with people from all walks of life.

In a tweet to condole the demise of Sampat Prakash , PDP President Mehbooba Mufti wrote "Very sorry to hear about the sudden demise of veteran trade leader & an advocate of civil liberties Sampat Prakash ji. As a child, I remember him being a frequent visitor at KD Sethi sahab’s house in Jammu. Deepest condolences to his family".

She expressed her deep condolences to Sampath Prakash's family highlighting the personal connection and respect she held for him.

In his condolences message Naeem Akhtar former minister & senior leader of PDP took micro blogging site twitter and wrote " Bidding adieu to a lifelong friend who always opposed the establishment of which I was a part. Will miss endless discussions with Sampat Prakash, a learned and fearless trade unionist. I learnt lots of things from him. Also represented @MehboobaMufti who’s out of town.

The void left by Sampath Prakash's absence will be difficult to fill, but his spirit and dedication to the cause will continue to inspire generations to come. His relentless pursuit of justice and empowerment serves as a reminder that the fight for the rights and civil liberties is an ongoing struggle that demands our unwavering commitment.

In recognition of Sampath Prakash's significant contributions, on behalf of People's Democratic Party President Ms. Mehbooba Mufti former minister & senior leader Naeem Akhtar led a delegation of leaders from Srinagar and Budgam to the Crematorium in Karan Nagar Srinagar for offering the last respects. Those who attended the last rites included  Qayoom Wani district president Srinagar , Iqbal Trumboo constituency incharge Chanapora , Modh Yaseen Bhat district president Budgam , Ab. Hameed Kosheen state secratary , Zuhaib Mir Constituency incharge Lal Chowk & coordinator youth wing Central kashmir , Waheed ur Rehman Para President Youth PDP , Mohit Bhan Genaral Secratary Organisation Youth PDP , Mustakeem Ali youth leader from Barzulla , Aman Zargar youth leader from chattabal and Arif Amin youth representative from Pulwama.
