Rehabilitation workshop for specially abled held at Bandipora

Bandipora 14Sep :(KNS) There is no greater disability in society than the inability to see a person as similar human being". With this saying as main theme and to spread awareness among the SPECIALLY ABLED of the PARIBAL TEKRI BATTALION Area a  Rehabilitation Workshop for the specially abled persons were organised. The event was organised in collaboration with Spreading Smile Charitable Trust, Hope Disability Centre and National Association for Blinds. Ms Nishtha Thaker was the main guest of the event alongwith Doctors and Counsellors from the Hope Centre.

A total of 150 specially abled children, adults and their Parents attended the same. The workshop was very fruitful for the patients who were counseled and motivated by resource persons. The attendees were assessed by the  Doctors and Orthopaedic technicians for Prosthetic aids whic will be distributed subsequently. They were also educated about the various schemes and facilities available in the State and National Govt for them. The specially abled persons paid keen attention to the awareness programme and were fully educated on the various assistance and aids that can be availed.

Towards the end of the event all the attendees were served refreshments and interacted with the resource persons and Doctors. The event ended on a joyful note and was very much appreciated by the Awaam.(KNS)
