Anantnag, Sep 29 (KNS): Regional Director Survey and Land Records Maraz Dr. Abdul Hafiz Shah chaired a meeting of Revenue Officers to review the functioning of the department.
During the meeting, the achievements of Tehsildars were reviewed and the work of writing of jamabandies, scanning and digitization process were highlighted. Tehsildar Sallar, Sirigufwara, Bijbehara, Qazigund, Kokernag and Larnoo were appreciated for completing the preparation of jamabandies by the Regional Director. An appreciation letter was served to tehsildar Larnoo for completion and deposition of jamabandies within the fixed target. The Regional Director directed tehsildar Anantnag, Mattan, Pahalgam, Shahabad Balla, Dooru and Shangus to complete the process of writing of pending Jamabandies before the initiation of survey / re-survey process and asked them to double their efforts, so that, the same is accomplished before the initiation of 2nd phase of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).
The Regional Director emphasized that the digitization of revenue records is honours job, responsibility assigned to the revenue officers, and hence accomplished, this project will remove obstacles and hardships faced by the common public. This will not only simplify the procedures but will also do away with the sloth and red tape for the overall settlement of the clientele. He stressed the need to complete the remaining work of submitting of Jamabandies in a week’s time, so that, the 2nd phase of the digitization programme is taken up immediately.
Those who attended the meeting included Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bijbehara, Pahalgam, Kokernag and Dooru. Besides, all the tehsildars of district Anantnag also attended the meeting, (KNS)
