Srinagar, 29 Dec (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Monday interacted with scores of public delegations at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.
According to a press release issued ,He asked party workers to start preparations for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Panchayat elections and strengthen the party’s connection with the grassroots.Addressing the delegations, Dr. Farooq urged party leaders and workers to gear up for the elections with renewed energy and dedication.
He emphasized the need for the cadre to remain united, disciplined, and battle-ready in order to effectively convey the party’s vision and achievements to the people.
“The National Conference has always believed in empowering the grassroots and strengthening democratic institutions. Our workers must take the good work carried out by Omar Abdullah–led elected government to every doorstep and ensure that people are fully aware of our commitment to development, dignity, and restoration democratic rights,” he said adding that the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections are crucial for reinforcing people’s faith in participatory governance and local self-rule.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Dr. Farooq further called upon party functionaries to engage actively with the public, listen to their concerns and address local issues with sincerity and resolve. He stressed that the strength of the party lies in its grassroots workers, who have always stood by the people of Jammu and Kashmir during challenging times.
The meeting was attended by Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, senior party leader and Provincial Secretary Syed Tawqeer, District President Srinagar Pir Afaq Ahmad, and other senior leaders and functionaries.
Participants discussed organizational matters, election preparedness and strategies to further strengthen the party structure at the block, ward, and panchayat levels. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s principles and resolved to work tirelessly to ensure a strong and effective presence of the National Conference in the forthcoming local body elections.(KNS)
