Jammu, Sep 18 (KNS): Northern Railway’s Jammu Division will operate three pairs of reserved festival special trains to clear the additional rush of passengers during Dussehra, Diwali and Chhath Puja, officials said on Friday.

The special trains will provide additional connectivity between Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Varanasi and New Delhi, besides easing pressure on regular services during the festive season.

The first service, Train Nos. 04604/04603 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Varanasi-Katra Reserved Special, will make nine trips in each direction. Train No. 04604 will run from Katra every Sunday from October 4 to November 29, while its return service will operate from Varanasi every Tuesday from October 6 to December 1.

The train will halt at Udhampur, Jammu Tawi, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Alamnagar, Rae Bareli and Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh stations.

The second service, Train Nos. 04610/04609 Jammu Tawi-Varanasi-Jammu Tawi Reserved Special, will also make nine trips in each direction.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt will operate from Jammu every Thursday from October 1 to November 26, with the return service from Varanasi every Friday from October 2 to November 27.

The third service, Train Nos. 04081/04082 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Festival Special, will make four trips in each direction during the Dussehra rush. It will operate from New Delhi on October 8, 9, 10 and 11, with return services from Katra on October 9, 10, 11 and 12.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, Uchit Singhal said the special trains were being operated to manage the festival rush and provide passengers with additional options for confirmed tickets and comfortable travel.

The Railway Administration has advised passengers to avail the special services. Booking is available through the IRCTC website, mobile application and railway reservation counters. Passengers can also contact railway helpline 139 or use the NTES app for further information. (KNS)
