Srinagar,Sep15 (KNS): A delegation of the Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA), led by its President Aijaz Shahdhar, today met Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Sujit Kumar singh and held a detailed and constructive interaction on matters concerning the trading community and the overall business environment in Kashmir.

At the outset, the delegation welcomed Sujit Kumar singh on his posting as IGP Kashmir and congratulated him on assuming the important responsibility. The delegation conveyed its best wishes for his tenure and expressed hope that his leadership would further strengthen coordination between the police and the business community.

During the meeting, KTA representatives said that the trading community has always remained committed to supporting efforts aimed at maintaining peace, security and a conducive environment for trade and commerce. They said traders are willing to extend all possible assistance and cooperation to the police administration in matters where their support can contribute to the larger public interest.

The delegation stressed that a secure and peaceful atmosphere is essential for the smooth functioning of markets, protection of commercial establishments and sustained economic activity.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt also emphasised the importance of regular communication between the police and representatives of the trading community so that issues affecting traders can be addressed promptly through dialogue and coordination.

IGP Kashmir Sujit Kumar Singh thanked the KTA delegation for meeting him and for extending its support and cooperation. He assured the delegation that the concerns and issues brought before him would be looked into and that the police administration would continue to work towards ensuring a safe, secure and conducive environment for the business community.

Aijaz Shahdhar said that KTA would continue to facilitate constructive engagement between traders and the administration and would extend its cooperation in all legitimate efforts aimed at strengthening peace, security and economic activity in Kashmir.
