Jammu, Oct 12 (KNS): The Railways has decided to temporarily augment the Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi-Sambalpur Express with an additional AC 3-tier coach to accommodate the increased passenger rush during the Navratri festival, officials said on Monday.

According to a railway spokesperson, Train No. 18309, operating from Sambalpur to Jammu Tawi, will run with an additional AC 3-tier coach on October 19, while Train No. 18310, operating from Jammu Tawi to Sambalpur, will have the extra coach on October 22.

The decision has been taken to facilitate passengers, particularly devotees travelling to Jammu and Katra for pilgrimage to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine during the festive season, the spokesperson said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The additional coach is expected to improve berth availability, provide relief to waitlisted passengers and help manage the increased passenger traffic.

Passengers have been advised to check the official Indian Railways website, indianrail.gov.in, and the IRCTC portal, irctc.co.in, for updated train schedules and berth availability. (KNS)
