People reject Abdullah’s slavery, look for new options in J-K: Sunil Sharma

Srinagar, October 20 (KNS): Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Sunil Sharma, said on Monday that voters in Budgam are looking for alternatives to the National Conference (NC) and its family-led politics.

He spoke to reporters while accompanying BJP candidate Aga Mohsin, who filed his nomination for the upcoming by-election.

Sharma said the NC has repeatedly failed the people and that its recent policy reversals, including on smart meters, show inconsistency in governance. “People are fed up with NC slavery and are now seeking alternatives,” he said, referring to the party’s long-standing dominance in the region.

He added that the Abdullah family has maintained control over politics in Kashmir for decades. “A big fight has begun against family dominance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe National Conference will soon collapse, and its MLAs will be scattered,” Sharma said as per KNS.

Sharma outlined the BJP’s focus on implementing welfare measures. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies are intended to benefit the public, and the party will take these initiatives to Budgam and other parts of the region. “The BJP will ensure that welfare policies reach the ground level in Budgam and across Kashmir,” he said.

Sharma said the BJP offers a genuine alternative in Budgam, emphasizing governance and public welfare. He encouraged voters to consider these factors when casting their ballots in the November by-election, positioning Mohsin as a candidate capable of breaking decades of NC family dominance.(KNS).
