Srinagar, Dec 3 (KNS): Congress Vice President and Member of Legislative Council Gulam Nabi Monga Thursday said that the promises made by the PDP and BJP to the people of the state have fallen flat and the slogan of so-called of good governance has proved futile.
According to KNS correspondent, Monga while addressing party workers at Budgam today said that Congress party is fully prepared for the coming ULB and Panchayat elections in the State.
The Congress Vice President expressed concern over the failure of State Government for not addressing the main issues of the people in all the three regions.
Monga said that Congress Party wants devolution of Power from Secretariat to the grass root level, but it can happen only, when Panchayats are allowed to function with full authority.
He said Congress has put the foundation of Panchayat Raj in the Country including the State of J&K aiming to strengthen the people from grass roots level, but this is unfortunate that the authority of PRIs are being undermined by the present dispensation in the State.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
