NTTA calls on Dir Tourism, holds interactive meeting

Srinagar November 01 (KNS) : Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) delegation today called on Director Tourism Kashmir  Fazlul Haseeb IAS in his Directorate office at TRC Srinagar.


The delegation was led by its Chairman Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo who was accompanied by senior members of the association Peerzada Faiyaz Ahmed, Er. Aijaz Naqshbandi, Abdul Rehman, Naveed Wani, Rafiq A. Sheikh &. Riyaz Ahmad.

At the outset, Chairman Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo welcomed the new Director Tourism Fazlul Haseeb for assuming the charge and assured him full support from NTTA in taking Jammu & Kashmir to newer heights in tourism sector.

NTTA held detailed interaction with the new Director and appraised him about the issues faced by the tourist traders.
Besides many other issues the following were discussed in detail.
Allocation of resudential facility for the fire fighting staff in Nigeen, construction of a Shikara Jetty at Khushalsur (Sazgaripora), curbs and continuous vigil on bad trade practices, ban on the use of polythene, single window system for renewals of registrations and easing of airport permits etc are few among the points discussed. 

While appreciating the tourism department for its efforts in making Kashmir a favourite destination in India, NTTA urged the new Director to intensify the promotion of offbeat destination and repair / macadamisation of roads leading to tourist destinations, Construction and maintenance of Toilet Facilities along the roads to tourist destinations etc.

The Director Tourism assured full support to the NTTA and approved (on spot) the construction of the shikara jetty at Khushalsur from Sazgarpora side. The NTTA delegation expressed its sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Director tourism for the special interaction and attention. (KNS)
