Sopore, Oct 31 (KNS) : National Conference leader and former Sopore Municipal Council president Masrat Rasool Kar on Saturday said the party's youth cadre remained firmly behind its leadership, asserting that a convention in Sopore had demonstrated that the party is not losing its organisational support.
Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) on the sidelines of the party's North Zone Youth Convention at Dak Bungalow here, Masrat Rasool Kar said the event brought together youth functionaries from three districts and was aimed at countering claims that the National Conference was facing internal divisions.
"The convention was organised to respond to those who claim that the National Conference is broken or scattered. You can see how many young people remain associated with the party. Our workers have complete confidence in their leadership and stand by every decision taken by it," she said.

NC leader said the party's youth in the North Zone had neither deserted the organisation nor shifted their allegiance to the BJP.
"Our youth are with us. They are our strength and have complete faith in the leadership. They want to move forward with the party," she said.
She said the convention had conveyed a message of support to the party leadership, including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, adding that similar programmes would be organised in the South and Central zones.
Expressing confidence in the party's youth base, she said the National Conference continued to enjoy the support of its grassroots workers.
She further said that a resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir issue could come only through the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference. (KNS)
