NC leader Choudhary Ramzan refutes reports of fielding proxy candidates in DDC elections 

Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNS): Senior NC leader Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan today refuted the allegations of fielding proxy  candidates in DDC elections in Kupwara Distrct by his party leaders.


Talking to KNS after organising the party meeting of workers in Handwara, he said, "The aim of the PAGD was accomplished . In our district DDC election held under the banner of PAGD was fought well. Only one seat was won by parties outside PAGD. 12 seats were bagged by PAGD candidates and one is yet to be decided".


Replying to a question, he said, " In Handwara, according to the PAGD decesion,  two seats went to NC, one to PC. Yes there are some grivances, they have been brought into the notice of PAGD leadership and they are looking into the issue. For the first time so many parties had come together to fight elections, these issues happen."


Regarding a question on election, he said, " NC is always ready for elections. When EC will announce the decesion, then leadership will decide on it. It is upto Delhi to decide the timing of election. We are footsoldiers, we adhere to party decesions as was decided recently regarding DDC elections. People participated in the elections".


The meeting was attended by a recently winning candidate of DDC election from Nutnussa Block Mr Advocate Zahoor Ahmad Magrey,youth president parvez ahmed ,khazir  Magrey and other senior members and workers of the party.


Chaudhary Mohd Ramzan said the aim of this meeting is to strengthen the party and work for the resolution of the grivances of the people besides preparing for the upcoming elections.


The winner of the DDC election seat from Nutnussa Block said he  won the elections with the support of party and Chaudhry Mohammad Ramzan.


 He added that the party aims to work for construction and development and will continue to do so in the future.
