Jammu, July 1 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday visited Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar to review the final arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which begins from Jammu on July 2.
During his visit, the LG inspected facilities including food, lodging, security, registration counters, power and water supply, healthcare services, sanitation, transportation, help desks, and emergency response systems. He interacted warmly with devotees and extended his best wishes for a safe and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage.
"Amarnath Yatra is not just a journey—it's a sacred, life-changing experience. We are committed to ensuring a peaceful, comfortable, and enriching yatra for every pilgrim," the LG said while speaking to the media.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He noted the arrival of thousands of pilgrims from across the country and emphasized the need to uphold the traditions of Jammu and Kashmir while ensuring the success of the 38-day yatra.
The pilgrimage will begin from both routes on July 3 and conclude on August 9, 2025. It will be formally flagged off by the LG from Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar, on the morning of July 2.
The LG was accompanied by DGP Nalin Prabhat, ADG CRPF Rajesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya, and other senior officials from the civil administration, police, and security forces.(KNS)
