He said that, people of Rajouri and Poonch especially patients and students are suffering most with the repeated closing of an important highway which links these two districts with the rest of Kashmir valley as the shortest route. It has been weeks now, when snow clearance on mughal Road was completed, despite of that authorities are still not allowing vehicular movement on this major route. If the road remains closed,  hundreds of patients who get themselve checked in Srinagar fail to get treatment or medicines" he added.

Khuehami said on humanitarian grounds, the LG Administration must try their best to keep the highway functional in all weather conditions for the people of Rajouri and Poonch & to ensure that the students travel hastle free to Srinagar & other parts of valley to pursue their academic or professional studies. The highway has become a source of economic development for many, and easy trade with the districts of Kashmir in less time", he further added.(KNS)
