Member of Legislative Council and senior National Conference leader, Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri Wednesday accused Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syed of tricking common masses and said that failure of this government is evident in Anantnag Assembly segment.
Dr Veeri, accompanied by several party leaders District President Mohammad Shafi, Constituency In charge Iftikar Ahmad Misger, Advocate Reyaz Ahmad Khan and others, today visited several areas Takieyeh Baraham Shah, Rehmat colony, Chee, Anantnag, Anzuwala, Rakeh Chee including of Anantnag assembly segment and met several delegations.
Addressing a workers convention at Azanwala Anantnag, Dr Veeri ridiculed Mufti for restoring to political mockery and claimed that both the collation partners-PDP and BJP are trying to divert the attention of common masses from the real issues which they face in day-to-day life.
“Leave aside the Political manifesto of PDP which they have officially thrown into dustbin, Mufti Mohmmad syed led government hasn’t been able to compensate the flood victims who lost their everything in last year devastating floods,” Veeri said.
He said that during the visit to several areas of Anantnag Assembly segment he came to know that people are suffering from accurate shortage of essentials; roads are still in shambles state, flood victims are still waiting for help and interrupted power supply continues to hunt the people, which establishes the failure of Mufti led collation government.
He asked Chief Minister to redress the problems of Anantnag assembly segment which he representing since 2008.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We were told that the government will ensure good governance but what is happening is totally unacceptable. People are maturating enough they will make Mufti Mohd Syed answerable for his hallow slogans and CMP,” he added.
He said that the CMP between PDP and BJP clearly states that PDP has officially thrown its much touted 'Self Rule' document into the “political dustbin of expediency” and has given up its demand for the revocation of AFSPA.
“PDP also chose to not include the finalization of the Flood Relief Package in the CMP. To divert attention from these drastic U-turns and compromises, PDP wants to resort to theatrics and diversionary tricks, which National conference will not allow,” he said.
Saying No amount of distractions and smokescreens will hide PDP's historic sell-out, Veeri said, "Continued theatrics to conceal PDP's sell-out might divert the attention of the people and media in the short-term but such betrayals cannot be concealed by melodrama and rhetoric. PDP stands completely exposed for its ideology-devoid hunger for power at any cost. All moral, ideological pretensions of the party have turned out to be lies and PDP's political obliteration is only a matter of time now.
Other National Conference leaders also addressed the workers convention and asked Chief Minister to concentrate on governance part rather than tricking innocent people.
