Srinagar, Oct 08 (KNS): Apni Party Youth General Secretary, In-charge Eidgah Constituency and Corporator SMC Mohammad Ashraf Palpori on Saturday inaugurated Lane & Drain at Shaheen Mohalla, Noorbagh which remained a long pending demand of the local inhabitants.
In a statement issued to the media outlets, Palpori said that people of Shaheen Mohalla had long demanded for the construction of lane and drain which has been finally fulfilled today.
He was also accompanied by Zonal Coordinator Eidgah Haji Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Working Committee Chairman Ghulam Mohammad Wani, Halqa President Noorbagh Mohammad Lateef Alie, Youth Halqa President Noorbagh Mohammad Younus Dar, Mohalla President Wani Coacha Shaheen Mohalla Noor Bagh Ghulam Hassan Dar alongwith local residents including Bashir Ahmed Bhat & Shiraz Ahmed Bhat.
Palpori said people have witnessed a new positive change in Eidgah after the fall of family political rule in J&K.
"If the work which I have done as simple Corporater was carried out by erstwhile successive MLA's in Eidgah much would have changed but unfortunately all what people have experienced are false promises & exploitation which has ended now. I shall be always at the beck and call of my people and would take all necessary measures to provide relief to them," he said.
Palpori urged people to strengthen the democratic values and stand up for their rights especially while choosing a best candidate to represent them.
The locals present on this occasion expressed contentment over the public welfare works initiated and completed under the stint of Mohammad Ashraf Palpori and vowed to strengthen him in the upcoming Assembly Elections.(KNS)
