Srinagar, Oct 13 (KNS): Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Tuesday expressed grief and regret over the death of the mother of senior resistance leader and Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Aazadi (JKMeA) Patron, Azam Inquilabi.
In a statement to KNS, expressing sympathy and condolences with the bereaved family of Inquilabi, the APHC Chairman recalled the contribution of Inquilabi’s late mother toward Kashmir’s resistance movement and saluted her resolve and patience in battling the odds while her son and entire Kashmiri nation was fighting for their just rights.
Mirwaiz led her Nimaz-e-Jinazah (funeral prayers), which was attended by senior Hurriyat leaders Advocate Shahidul Islam, Javed Ahmad Mir, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, Moulana M S Rehman Shams besides other resistance leaders.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
A large number of local people also attended the funeral prayers of the deceased following which the deceased’s body was buried in the compound of her house.
Mirwaiz said Inquilabi’s mother was a kind-hearted, honest and a strong-willed woman who had spent her entire life in trying circumstances.
Paying tributes to her, the APHC Chairman said her resolve, patience and determination were some of the attributes that helped her fight the problems she faced while Inquilabi’s family was being victimized for being part of the resistance movement.
The Mirwaiz prayed the Almighty for granting her a place in the Janaat-ul-Firdous and for granting forbearance to the bereaved including Inquilabi and his family. (KNS)
