BJP nominates Nirmal Singh for Dy CM’s post

Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti today flew for Jammu to meet Governor N N Vohra to fix date for her swearing-in as the first woman chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba was accompanied by senior PDP leaders and MPs, Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Tariq Hameed Karra to the winter capital.
The three PDP leaders are scheduled to meet Governor N N Vohra this evening about government formation and fix date for oath taking.
Meanwhile, BJP legislators today nominated Dr Nirmal Singh as the legislature party leader in a meeting held in Jammu, which was attended by BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav and MoS in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office Dr Jitendra Singh.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
BJP president Sat Pal Sharma said: "The BJP legislature party has elected Nirmal Singh as its leader and nominated him for the deputy chief minister's post in the new coalition government."
Sharma said the BJP had decided to extend support to Mehbooba Mufti to head the PDP-BJP government in the state.
Sharma is also scheduled to meet Governor N N Vohra for the government formation and their support to PDP as coalition partners.
Meanwhile, sources told KNS that Peoples Conference chairman and MLA Handwara Sajad Gani Lone scheduled to meet separately Ram Madhav. (KNS)
