Maternal uncle of Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) & senior AAC leader Mian Muhammad Amin passes away

Srinagar, Oct 19 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Mian Muhammad Amin of Anzimar Khanyar, who was a senior leader and among the founding members of the organisation. The deceased was also the maternal uncle of Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Farooq (RA).

The AAC in a statement said that upon hearing the news of the demise of Mian Muhammad Amin, an emergency condolence meeting was held at the organisation's headquarters to pay homage to the deceased for his long and sincere political services and activities.

Mian Muhammad Amin at a very young age had a long and hard struggle under the enthusiastic leadership of the Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) in accordance with the constitution and manifesto of the Awami Action Committee, the meeting observed.

From the very first day, the deceased not only stood side by side with the Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) and the AAC leadership on every front but also rendered all kinds of sacrifices to promote the cause of the organisation, the statement said.

The AAC termed the demise of Mian Muhammad Amin Sahib as a great loss which would be felt in the ranks of the organisation.

During the meeting, the participants expressed condolences with the deceased’s son Mian Faisal Amin along with his brothers Prof. Mian Manzoor and Mian Qaiser; and also with the organisation head Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, who continues to be under illegal and arbitrary house arrest for the last 26 months. They also prayed to Allah for the forgiveness of the deceased and his ascension to Jannat-ul-Firdous.

The funeral prayers of the deceased were offered in the premises of Naqshband Sahib (RA) shrine. Apart from dozens of leaders and workers of Khanyar, Saraf Kadal, Nowhatta and Rajouri Kadal constituencies of the organisation, a large number of people also participated.

However, despite his wish and kinship, the Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir could not attend the funeral of the deceased due to his detention against which there is growing anger in public circles.

Later, Mian Muhammad Amin Sahib, as per his wish, was buried in the graveyard at Rawalpora alongside his late mother amid moist eyes.

According to family sources, due to the current unfavourable conditions and Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no individual or collective Fateha prayers, either at home or in the graveyard.

People and well-wishers are requested to please pray for the departed soul and his ascension to Jannat-ul-Firdous, at their individual levels. (KNS)
