Legal action to be taken against drug abusers: DIG North Kashmir*

Bandipora, Feb 2, (KNS): Deputy Inspector General of police North Kashmir Range, Uday Bhaskar Billa on Monday said that a strong vigil is being carrier against drug abuse and legal action will also be taken against those consuming and selling drugs. 
 
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of volleyball tournament at Bandipora, DIG said appealed to parents and civil society to take care of these things and inform police about drugs related complaints.
 
He said that the situation is peaceful in north Kashmir and for development, peace is must and hope it will continue to prevail.
 
DIG further said that the the main motive behind this tournament is to encourage youth and keep them away from militancy and other unlawful activities such as drugs. 
 
“Every year police organizes such programs for civil interaction and to bring youth to mainstream. The tournament is a message for the youth that besides mental health physical health is also important,” he said. (KNS)
