Srinagar, Dec 21 (KNS): Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) National spokesperson and former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain on Monday asserted that Late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s dream of Kashmiriyat, Insaniyat and Jamhooriyat has come true after people from all segments of society massively took part in recently concluded District Development Council (DDC) polls.
According to KNS Correspondent, Hussain who was addressing media persons in summer capital Srinagar, said that the massive participation of people from all segments of life would be written in “golden letters” in the history of India as there was not even a singly law and order incident reported anywhere across Jammu and Kashmir during the electoral process.
He said the enmass participation of people into the DDC elections vindicates that the long pending dream of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee came true. “During recently concluded DDC polls, the former PM Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s dram of Kashmiriyat, Insaniyat and Jamhoriyat has come true as DDC polls clarifies that democracy is the backbone of Kashmiriyat and Insaniyat”, Hussain said.
The BJP leader asserted that let the results of DDC polls come out, people will see the emergence of party in Jammu and Kashmir. “Those days are gone when BJP were considered weak. You will see a different outlook tomorrow. Let DDC results come out”, he claimed.
He according to KNS correspondent added that during polls, long queues of voters were seen outside polling stations and large number of people came forward to fight polls which signifies that democracry has won in Kashmir.
When asked about the ED’s move of attaching property of Dr Farooq Abdullah recently, the BJP leader said, “The move is purely apolitical. There is no role of BJP in the development. Agencies are doing their job professionally. So those facing corruption charges can go to the court and clear their stand there”, he said.
To a query over restoration of high-speed internet in J&K, the BJP national spokesperson said, “hopefully 4G will be restored soon in J&K”. (KNS)
