Srinagar, Oct 26 (KNS): Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday said that Late Maharaja Hari Singh saw the future of J&K with India that led to the accession of UT with the Union of India in 1947.
BJP senior leader and former minister Sunil Sharma while speaking to media persons at party headquarters in Srinagar here asserted that Late Maharaja Hari Singh saw the future of Jammu and Kashmir in the Union of India that led to the accession of UT in 1947.
The BJP leader claimed that every Kashmiri is feeling proud to be the part of India and thus celebrating Accession Day with full zeal and zest across the valley.
Sharma while lambasting over neighbouring country said, "Pakistan had made futile attempts of intruding its forces into Kashmir to sabotage the process of accession. However country's alert security forces gave befitting reply to Pakistani tribals in 1947 and guarded Jammu and Kashmir from their evil eyes".
He while paying tributes to Late Maqbool Sherwani of Baramulla, said this valour soul fought against the evil designs of Pakistan and pushed them back to their territory.
The BJP leader along with leaders of local BJP unit celebrated Accession Day at party headquarters in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar. The leaders at the occasion distributed sweets and paid tributes to patriotic hero's who laid down their lives while fighting against Pakistan.
The BJP leader, Sunil Sharma said the enemy country in 1965, 1971 and 1999 kept evil eyes on our land constantly but our energetic security forces gave them thundering replies.
"Pakistan has failed in conventional war with India. So it started to launch proxies. 32 years have gone. Few elements still trying to destabilise peace of J&K through different means. But our police and other security forces are enough to deal with them", he said.
He said today Jammu and Kashmir is going through peaceful phase and every Kashmiri is waiting eagerly when last anti-peace element is neutralised.
The BJP senior leader while hitting hard to Hurriyat said all those including Hurriyat leaders and separatists will join the mainstream as they know all doors have been closed for them and they know their place is only in jail.
“All those people including Hurriyat leaders and separatists have to join the mainstream as they have no option left now. All doors have been closed for them and they either have to join the mainstream or go to jail.” Sharma said.(KNS)
