Kupwara, Nov 02 (KNS): The Department of Information on Sunday accorded a farewell to Senior Assistant Ghulam Nabi Mir, a resident of Darshpora, Handwara, following his retirement after 30 years of service.
A farewell function was organised at the District Information Office, Kupwara, where the District Information Officer (DIO), along with other officials and employees, felicitated Mir with shawls, flower garlands and gifts in recognition of his services.
On the occasion, speakers appreciated his honesty, sincerity, courteous nature and professional commitment, recalling his contributions to the department during his three-decade-long service.
The department's staff wished him good health, peace and prosperity in his post-retirement life.
A separate reception was also organised at his residence, where family members, relatives, friends and well-wishers gathered to felicitate him and celebrate his retirement.
The gathering concluded with participants recalling his professional journey and extending their best wishes for the new phase of his life. (KNS)
