Khyber Milk Premier Football League 2021: J&K Bank, Kashmir Avenger FC qualified for Finals

Srinagar, Nov 08 (KNS): In the ongoing Khyber Milk Premier Football League 2021 Two Semi Final matches of Khyber Premier Division Football League 2021 were played  today at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar. The Tournament is being telecast live for the first time by Frisk Film Production on ANN News Channel.

Kashmir Avenger FC defeated Ag’s XI by 2:0 goals.

In the first half of the match, the forwards of both the teams missed several scoring opportunities. The defenders, especially both the goalkeepers, ensured that the first half ends goalless. The second half, like the first, also started with both the teams desperate to score. However, the forwards of the two minutes were unable to breach the defence lines of each other and it looked that the match may end in a goalless draw. However, with time running out, the Kashmir Avenger Fc went for an all out attack and they were rewarded in the 55th minute of the play when Kelvin scored the first goal of the match. Trailing by a goal, Ag’s XI counter attacked. But they couldn’t breach the defence line of KAFC. In the last minutes of the match, Moses scored another goal in 75th minute for KAFC and virtually sealed the fate of the match in their favour 2:0 Goals. Liyaqat of Kashmir Avenger FC was declared as player of the match for his brilliant performance.

The 2nd Semi-final Match was played between J&K Bank & J&K Police Team. Both the teams enthralled the audience by their spectacular moves.

J&K bank played a calculated game with short passes, man to man marking and offensive football and J&K Police played with all their might trying to find an opening in the opponents goal. Both the teams failed to find the net in the First Half. As the second half began, J&K bank players were desperate to score and they launched several attacks on the opposite goalpost.

In the 50th minute Aakif of J&K Bank scored all important goal for his team. After trailing one goal J&K Police players launched several counter attacks, but the goalkeeper of the Bank team ensured no damage was done. In the dying moments Furqan of Bank team doubled the lead by scoring another goal. When the Referee blew the whistle, the score line read 2:0 in favour of Bank Team. Farhan Ganai was declared Man of the Match.

Thus J&K Bank & Kashmir Avenger Fc qualified for the Finals. (KNS)
