Raised the issue of vehicle re-registration, roads and street lights

Srinagar,12 April (KNS): Kashmir Traders Alliance(KTA) has taken up the issue of re-registration of vehicles brought from outside the state in the Valley with the  Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and advocated for its exemption from re-payment of token fees, while  Divisional Commissioner PK Poole assured that matter is under consideration.

A delegation of KTA met Divisional Commissioner Kashmir PK Pole on Monday, during which issues facing the business community were discussed. The delegation led by Alliance President Ajaz Shahdhar urged the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to consider sympathetically the issue of registration of vehicles brought to the Valley from outside the state.

The delegation said that hundreds of people are involved in this trade, and not only they are affected by the government's decision, but people in general are facing financial difficulties.

Kashmir Trade Alliance said that the Divisional commissioner should intervene in the matter and exempt it from paying the fee again during the re-registration of vehicles. Trade Alliance also raised the issue of repairing electric lights in markets and other places during the month of Ramadan. they said the administration should ensure that the lights are repaired.

The delegation raised the issue of shortage of staff and emergency equipment in the Valley Hospitals especially SMHS Hospital Srinagar and said that the patients in this important hospital were facing problems and difficulties.

The delegation of Kashmir Trade Alliance also raised the issue of dilapidated condition of roads with the Divisional commissioner and said that the connecting roads in the south and north of the valley including Srinagar have been reduced to rubble.

Kashmir Trade Alliance President Ajaz Shahdhar said that the Divisional commissioner listened to the concerns of the traders and informed them that the issue of re-registration of vehicles is under consideration of the administration. The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir spoke to the Medical Superintendent of SMHS Hospital on the phone on the spot and directed him to keep the necessary equipment available in the hospital.

Shahdara said that the Divisional Commissioner said that with the improvement in the weather, repair work of roads would also be started, while the repair of street lights would also be done on priority basis.
