JKPM expresses deep concern over prolonged power outages in Kashmir

Anantnag, Nov 28 (KNS): J&K Peoples Movement has expressed deep concern over the power crisis in the Valley.

In a statement issued to KNS, JKPM Vice President Solicitor Syed Iqbal Tahir said that despite a load-shedding schedule announced by the government, unscheduled and frequent power cuts have aggravated woes of people in the valley, especially in Anantnag. He said that the PDD has failed to implement its own schedule.

He further said that with a massive dip in temperature, people are hardly getting any relief from PDD. He alleged that PDD sends inflated electricity bills to consumers despite the failure to provide adequate electricity.

Solicitor Iqbal urged the government to implement its own schedule and ensure that least inconvenience is caused to the public during the winter months. (KNS)
