JKPM demands action on JDA authorities on demolition of houses of Nomads

Srinagar, Jan 13 (KNS): President Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement, Dr Gh Mustafa Khan condemned the demolition of houses of Nomads at Roop Nagar, Jammu and demanded immediate action on JDA officials.

Dr Gh Mustafa Khan said: Gujjar and Bakerwals believes in democracy and are leading on front at the time of elections and administration are neglecting their aspiration.

"BJP and LG administration is claiming that gujjar and Bakerwals are being uplifted after the abrogation of 370 and 35A, implementation of forest rights act is under process and on other hand BJP is hellbent to demolish the houses of Nomads and Bakerwals as they are living since decades in their houses, when Centre government claims that government is providing financial assistance to the homeless families to built their houses, but here in J&K Gujjar and Bakerwals are being dragged out from their homes and their houses are being demolished," he said.

Dr Khan further said that LG administration is crossing all its limits to harass and divide the Gujjar/Bakerwals and Pahari communities for their political interests as these communities will bow before BJP government as LG Manoj Sinha is planted as BJP Cheif Minister in the role of LG in Jammu and Kashmir to fulfill the BJP's divisive and hinduvta agenda for the political and election interests of Centre government as elections are going to be held in some states and BJP is discussing Kashmir in their election rallies because they have nothing to discuss as Centre government have failed at all fronts.

Dr Khan urged LG Administration to take immediate action on JDA authorities and construct new Houses for the Nomads whose houses were demolished by JDA authorities at Roop Nagar Jammu. (KNS)
