J&K Students Association thanks TMC MP Derek O'Brien for facilitating return of mortal remains of Kashmiri Student from WB

Srinagar June 04(KNS):J&K Students Association here on Sunday thanked Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament Derek O'Brien for facilitating return of mortal remains of Kashmiri student from West Bengal. In a statement National General Secretary of Association of Association Danish Lone said that a young student from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was found dead at a college hostel in the Kolkata City of West Bengal. The student was resident of Yarikhah Khansahab village of Budgam & was studying engineering at the Budge Budge Institute of Technology popularly known as BBIT College. The last rites of deceased were performed at his native village.

Arrangements were made to airlift the body from West Bengal to Srinagar after West Bengal Govt assured all possible help to bring back the student's mortal remains. He thanked and expressed gratitude to TMC MP for extending a humanitarian helping and facilitating return of dead body back to his family, for completion of last rites at his ancestral village at Budgam.

 

He thanked Former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his help & prompt action in coordinating with the West Bengal administration and TMC MP Derek Obrien in response to the tragic incident involving a Kashmiri student who was found deceased in WB. Association took the matter of repatriation of mortal remains to the Former Chief Minister, later he coordinated with the MP and other Authorities for earliest reparation of mortal remains. 

 

He also thanked Dr Suneem Khan for his support & in coordinating with the SP Diamond West Bengal, Director Airport and other Authorities over their in response to the tragic incident involving a Kashmiri student who was found deceased.

 

J&K Students Association National Spokesperson Umar Jamal expresses deepest condolences on behalf of Association and stands with the family in sharing their grief besides praying for peace for the departed soul. It is indeed a heart wrenching tragedy & our heartfelt sympathies are with the family of late Mustakeem”, concluded Ummar.(KNS)
