Srinagar 01 MARCH (KNS):Journalist Irfan Amin Malik, who is currently working as online editor at Rising Kashmir newspaper have received gold medal in the first Islamic University of Science and Technology convocation.

Malik (29) received the medal for being the topper in post-graduation in mass communication and journalism from Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora.

In the first ever convocation of IUST, held at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) Srinagar on Monday, Malik along with other toppers received the gold medal.

Malik hails from Tral township in Pulwama district and is currently working with Rising Kashmir. His work has been published in local, national and international media.

For being the gold medalist Malik was congratulated by people across the valley. (KNS)
