Srinagar, Dec 08 (KNS): Rabita Madaris Islamia Arabia Darul uloom Deoband, Jammu and Kashmir, has opposed the proposed move by the government to provide monetary aid to Islamic seminaries and constitution of Madrassa Board.
In a statement to KNS, Darul uloom Rahimia said that a meeting of all the district heads of Islamic Seminaries of the Rabita Madaris was called at Bandipora which was chaired by Moulana Rehmatullah Qasmi.
“All the participants vehemently opposed and expressed grave concern over the government’s proposed action to aid and constitute the Board.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe don’t and will not accept the government funding to our schools,” the statement quoted the participants as saying.
The religious heads have appealed the government to include in the syllabus moral education, Diniyaat, Arabic and Persian languages so that students can get awareness about basic Islamic education. They insisted on the government to improve the condition of their own schools.
General Secretary of the Rabita Madaris Moulana Nazir Ahmad Qasmi and other district heads were present in the meeting. (KNS)
