Calls for time-bound resolution of long-pending demands, says decades of public service cannot be met with uncertainty

Srinagar, October 24 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) General Secretary and All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association President Imran Reza Ansari on Saturday expressed solidarity with daily wagers and casual labourers across Jammu and Kashmir, supporting their peaceful struggle for regularisation, fair wages, timely salary disbursement and employment security.

Ansari said workers who had devoted decades to government departments and public institutions could not be left in prolonged uncertainty, with their demands for job security and a dignified future awaiting resolution.

Describing their grievances as legitimate and long-pending, he urged the government to move beyond assurances and take concrete, time-bound measures to address their concerns.

“I stand firmly in solidarity with these hardworking employees and support their peaceful struggle for justice. Those who have dedicated the prime years of their lives to public service deserve more than promises. They deserve dignity, security and concrete action,” Ansari said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said the issue extended beyond employment, directly affecting the livelihood, financial stability and family welfare of thousands of workers and their dependants. Inadequate wages, delayed salaries and uncertainty over regularisation, he added, had made it difficult for many families to plan for the future.

Ansari called on the government to approach the matter with urgency and sensitivity, stressing that workers who had spent their productive years serving public institutions deserved a clear resolution of their demands.

“Justice delayed for these workers is justice denied to their families,” he said, urging the authorities to honour their contribution through tangible decisions that safeguard their livelihoods and dignity.

Reiterating his support for the employees’ peaceful struggle, Ansari said their long-pending grievances required a decisive response rather than further delays and unfulfilled commitments.(KNS)
