Hurriyat (M) terms Govt’s action as provocative

Says tragic incidents happen due to unresolved K-issue

Srinagar, Mar 06 (KNS): Terming the pressure tactics like oppression, suppression and aggressive policies adopted by the government forces against Kashmiri people and resistance leadership as provocative, an Hurriyat Conference (M) spokesman Monday condemned these actions of the ruling class.
Denouncing the re-arrest of senior Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, who has been held at Anantnag Sub Jail for the past five days, an Hurriyat (M) Spokesman said the arrest of Waza and several resistance leaders and hundreds of freedom-loving people was unfortunate and uncalled for, and only meant to break the will and resolve of the people.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (M) Spokesman said arrests of the resistance leadership, restrictions on their movement, and ban on their activities would neither be able to force them into giving up on their struggle nor yield any results for the government and its agencies.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hurriyat (M) spokesman condemned the arrests of dozens of youth in night raids in every nook and corner of Kashmir and said the arrests of youth by the government forces, night raids and harassment of residents was not only undemocratic but only meant to suppress the people with military might so that they are forced to give up their struggle for right to self determination.
Meanwhile expressing serious concern over the injuries to three children in a blast in Pazpora village in north Kashmir’s Sopore area, the spokesman said such tragic incidents were happening due to the unresolved Kashmir issue which has become the cause of the loss of precious lives and property. Keeping in view this human dimension it becomes all the more urgent to address the issue with all seriousness so as to reach just and acceptable solution to this issue. (KNS)
