Srinagar, Jan 27 (KNS): Calling the killing of the militant, Mushtaq Ahmad of Anantnag district as “painful”, Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salah-u-din has paid rich tributes to him and expressed solidarity with the family of the slain militant.

“Mushtaq Ahmad alias Adil Farooq was an asset of the freedom struggle. Despite being jailed after his arrest, Mushtaq rejoined Hizb last year as the imprisonment could not break his resolve. He played a key role in organizing Hizb in the area,” the spokesman quoted Salah-u-din as saying. (KNS)
